The evenings after work was really the only free time to tear down and classify any parts that would by used for re-assembly.
My vision for the car is simple :). A built small block attached to a 6 speed manual to a 12 bolt rear. Coilovers on all corners. A triangular 4-point rear suspension. Tubular control arms. 15" Rally custom wheels (correct for the era) front and back. 10" rubber in front and 12" rear, all fitting under original fenders. In order to do this, a frame would have to be built underneath the car. Turning an X-body into an A-body.
To help with frame, I found Nathan Porter of Porterbuilt Street Rods in Apache Junction. Nathan is one of those truly gifted guys that loves trucks and cars. His niche is building lowering kits for the older trucks. These kits can be welded or bolted right to your trucks' existing frame with no or very little modifications.
Nathan offered up a C4 front suspension package and an all 'tubular' frame. Very unique!
